From The Pastor’s Desk
1 Thessalonians 5:16-19:
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.”
What a magnificent, eventful few months we have had. If anyone ever says life in Montgomery is dull, invite them to join our vibrant Christ Methodist Church community. We are experiencing genuine, extraordinary excitement, and it's all because of the wonderful people like you who make up our church's life.
On November 3, we set our clocks back. So, now we have plenty of time to make it to Sunday school at 9:15. Bring a family member, friend, or neighbor, and then stay for church at 10:30.
On November 24, everyone is to return their Shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. We will bless the boxes during the morning worship service. Then, on December 13, a group will go to the processing center in Atlanta to help prepare the boxes for shipping.
November 24, we will celebrate worship at 9:30 as we help support Christ Church Anglican and their Christmas market. There will be no Sunday School that morning.
On December 1, we step into the joyous Advent Season. We are embarking on a Church-wide study, “The Wonder of it All.” We invite you to come and watch the video series each week together. We will then break out into Sunday school classes for group discussion. I hope you will join us in our study. All classes will be delighted to have you join them for the breakout time. Call me if you have any questions. I know you will enjoy reading these devotions and being part of the discussion as we immerse ourselves in the Wonder of God’s incredible gift.
December will also unfold with many, many other projects and activities, and your participation is crucial to their success. Stay tuned to the Bulletin, newsletter, Instagram, and Facebook to be part of these exciting events.
Come Grow With Us,

Titus 2:7-8
“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned.”
