From The Pastor’s Desk
I am looking forward to many new and exciting journeys through worship and fellowship for these months and years ahead. Steve and I will meet soon, and we will call on many of you to serve in different areas. Please let me know if you are interested or feel led to serve or lead in any way. I pray you will say yes when called. The joy of serving is unparalleled, and I hope you will experience this as we embark on these new activities and committees.
I am excited about the possibilities as God’s wonderful and loving hand is upon us as we give ourselves to others in a time of sharing and fellowship. The word the Bible uses is “witness”. We are all called to be witnesses to Christ. Jesus put it succinctly when He said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). It is enough to make you wonder: how is our witness on the home mission field?
One of the greatest opportunities you and I will ever have is to share the Good News of what Christ has done for us with those we live, with whom we work, with whom we call our neighbors, and with whom we play.
This Church is for us and all who enter these doors. We should all be prepared to welcome and love everyone entering these doors. And more importantly, for all those we greet in the stores, at school, or at work? For it is Christ who loves us all; He calls us to love one another. As we embark on this new journey together, a new denomination, a new church home, and new ministry ideas for all of us; let us commit to Christ with our prayers, presence, gifts, services, and especially with our witness.
Let us Sow Seeds together,
Misty
