From the Pastor’s Desk…

As we are moving towards November, I encourage you to begin preparing to make your commitments to the church in several different ways for the next year. It is so exciting to see how we bring ourselves to God in such diverse and unique ways.

Many of us have been tithing and giving for decades. Some of us are teaching our children and grandchildren. And some are learning for the first time what it truly means to give of ourselves with not only our prayers, but our presences, gifts, services and witness. So we look at the passage from Psalm 100:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He, who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Through God’s grace we have been brought into the body of Christ. Every one of us has a place, and that place grants us an exciting opportunity to serve God and His people. On the 3rd you will have the opportunity to remember those whom have gone before us during our All Saints’ Day service. What an incredible future we are building for the Kingdom of God.

What a grand and glorious blessing it is to be a part of all that He has provided to us. So, PLEASE continue to pray as God leads you to how you will serve in this coming year. Remember, to continue to pray as Jabez prayed, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed. And enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You keep me from evil.”

Come Let us Grow Together,

Misty
